Well, there were two ads on this post, even! I hope this becomes something that gets cracked down on, it should be able to have a blog open to comment without parasites selling crap on your site. This latest spam is rather annoying....

I had top purge 10 ads the otehr day too. Someone must have some software allowing them to know wehn something new has been posted.

I've deleted more (spam)comments on my blog last week than in the 6 months prior.

Well, there's a bright side to all this.

Obviously, you're readership is large enough for these cheapwidget.com folks to think that it's worth their while to steal advertising space in your comments.

It's a pain in the ass undoubtedly, but a compliment in an odd sort of way.

Lor, if you go onto blogger and scroll down there's a link where you can add "word verification" to comments. These spammers are most likely "bots" (ie automated programs" and not personalities, so they won't stop no matter how nicely you ask them. Word verification ensures that it's at least a human being who is commenting.
